The most disturbing part of the Social Justice religion is not its self-righteousness, but its ability to insinuate itself into institutions and make people fear for their livelihoods. This is evil, and must be stopped.

Considering the Memory Hole treatment that a lot of books are getting today, I think that a Scriptorium that faithfully preserves and reproduces books actually sounds like a good idea.

I think we pushed a lot of mediocre minds through schools, gave them useless degrees, saddled them with hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt, and then not followed through on the implicit (and sometimes explicit) promise that they would be rich, famous, powerful, listened to, etc, when they graduated.

The Welfare State is actually the conservative position, now. (It won the Cold War, by the way -- a synthesis of Capitalism and Communism. Hegel would be proud, though not proud of Marx.) Right now the dialectic seems to be between liberalism and authoritarianism. I'm not sure there can be a synthesis between the two, but we may find a way.
