"Attenborough keeps mentioning climate change" That reminds me of the otherwise excellent James Burke, and the BBC documentary he appeared in, "After the Warming", which cited computer programs that predicted that temperatures would rise something like 10-15 degrees C by 2020. Obviously that's nonsense, computer models can't accurately predict climate. Why in the world is anyone listening to these theories that have been so comprehensively wrong for so many decades?

@jonathan-dough There's a science fiction book called "Fallen Angels" from 1991 that posits we WERE going into an ice age at that time, but luckily we were ALSO so busy pumping more CO2 into the atmosphere that kept us from this dire fate. Except, the Greens took over, cut back the CO2, and the glaciers started rolling south across the Upper Midwest. People have gotten so weird about this. First the hubris, thinking we can actually predict these things (this is formally impossible, thanks to chaos in the models) and then the anti-human madness that has sprung from the panic based on those wildly inaccurate models. I'm popping some popcorn, waiting for the point where Conservatives get their hands on the "misinformation" laws the Left has been busy setting up, and start shutting down and prosecuting climate alarmists as hoaxers, misinformers, and conspiracy theorists.

@jonathan-dough "Shattered Consensus" does a good job of collecting articles that disprove a lot of hoaxes like the "hockey stick".
