Caspian, computer climate models are not accurate enough (and will never be accurate enough) to provide reliable predictions about the future climate, or determining which model parameters make what contributions. If all we're paying attention to is these models, we're taking our eye off of the ball. Whatever environmental problems are going on around the world, we are ignoring their REAL root causes.

  2. Guys, just so you know -- climate change models are not reliable enough to make these sorts of predictions. You need to keep an open mind so that other causes of this desertification are taken into account and addressed. If you don't find the real culprit, you're doomed to suffer continued problems.

  3.  @will7its  It's catching on. Most people are naturally a bit skeptical, and anyone with any actual engineering / computer modeling experience is well aware of the critical deficiencies in their evidence.
