  1. Thanks for sharing Noway's lead on this. For North Americans 'pant' means deposit. We have many dairies producing in glass bottles with a large ($2 per 1 L bottle) deposit; returning them is just natural. And in Canada (in BC anyway) there is a deposit on cans and plastic drink bottles purchased at grocery stores. As it should be.

  2. While I think your points are essentially correct I think the move to plastic was just profit motivated. The larger package certainly made that easier and they weren't goint to sell a case of 24 bottles to anyone to tote home in the cart with the eggs...
