Yes - the loss of another, irreplaceable A50's IS significant - for the reasons you point out. On top of that, the tiny-czar putin has also lost a 'trained' (even by russian standards) crew - as shown. And, one General and one Colonel on EACH A50!! So, two aircraft (plus the one damaged in belarusia), TWO russian generals and TWO colonels, while 200 km's inside russia!! Incredible!! Slava Ukraini!

An interesting analysis. From what I've seen recently on the front line - - I think you could be quite correct!! Slava Ukaini. Brilliant tacticians!

Yup - that happened in belaursia months ago. A FPV drone hit the radar dome - the most important part of an A50 and the toughest to replace. Unfortunately it was an early drone and not capable of carrying much of a warhead - but it did cause damage. There's a chance that A50 had to be taken out of service and stripped for parts!
3
Correct - and not to mention the loss of one russian General and one russian Colonel PER A50! A huge loss for tiny-czar-putin. On top of that - not all remaining are in service at the same time plus some need to be used to survey the other borders and coastlines. This - was a BRILLIANT strategy by Ukraine. Zelenskyy has 'blinded the russian air farce'

Yup. And no one seems to be reporting - that russia does not have any other means to survey its massive borders - just these aircraft. So even if there are six left, several will be needed on the other borders and along the coasts. china is just waiting for their 'opportunity' so the tiny-czar cannot dedicate all remaining (in service) A50's to Ukraine! :)

Might not be possible to repair it. The parts for the dome - the most important component of this aircraft are no longer made and are behind sanctions. They might have taken parts from another A50 that is out of service - or they might have scrapped the one hit by drone in belarusia and are using it - for parts.

Yeah, I thought they were cute too. Much, much too big for tiny-czar-putin to wear but it made the tecnicians look like a team - - before they fell out of the sky. Wait until they ANNOUNCE the F-16's are there (that many say are there already)... Then tiny-czar-putin won't be able to get the crews to get into the remaining few A50's.
3
Wouldn't that be nice!! But the ancient old A50's cannot even see the SAM 200's that have been modified to nail it. And many say that these two A50's are the first birds down from F-16's that ARE in theatre. (Ukraine is just not saying so - - for the moment.) Slava Ukraini.

@surelyyoujokemeinfailure7531 I'm with you on that one! Sun Tsu rules! Heroyam Slava!

The russians cannot 'build more', not easily and not quickly. Most of the components are no longer available and behind sanctions and it takes years to create a new production line for aircraft of this type. (And - you need a better source than Wikipedia for this sort of stuff).

Heroyam Slava!

Sounds like you need to up your copium ivan. It appears that YOU are the delusional one. Mind you, if you're only watching RT news - then I can understand your cult beliefs. But the facts ARE the facts - and russia - is getting its ass - kicked! The russian 'air farce' is blind now - and the Black Sea Naval fleet - - - it's on the bottom of the Black Sea!
1
Aww - - having trouble dealing with the truth ivan? Perhaps you could up your copium for a while - - and - 'Stay away from tiny-czar-putins prized jewel, the Kerch Bridge!' - - it is very soon, going to be the 'Kerch GAP'.
1
Perhaps you - would volunteer to do the narration for them?
1
Actually it is. And the russian 'air farce' IS blind now. Not many of these made to begin with - some sold (to India and others) some needed to patrol the Pacific region and the shared border with china - who are 'just waiting for their opporunity' and, russian is down TWO Generals, TWO Colonels (one each, per A50) and two 'trained crews'.
