  2. If the writers of this had any class they would have called this aircraft by its real nomenclature - more than once... It's a CANADAIR CL 415. Proudly DESIGNED AND BUILT in the fine COUNTRY of Canada by proud CANADIANS. Yup - it's referred to in slang as a super-scooper and it's often called 'Scooper' in its callsign. But this video seems to go out of its way to obscure this aircrafts heritage. Almost 10 mil subs - but No Class.

  5. Try it - with reduced visibility from smoke - and buffeting from updrafts from the heat of the fire - and the intense change in WEIGHT of the aircraft immediately after the drop... try it.

  7. With a new model on the way! The Canadair CL 515! I hope they test the new ones where I can see them work from my home - outside of Kelowna where some of them practice pickups in Okanagan Lake, drop in our mountain slopes and refuel at YLW an International airport minutes from the pickup zone and drop.
