  1. As an ex Caterpillar Sales guy I find this deplorable! Yes the technology supplied was / is unique and needs to be somewhat protected. But the exceptional Product Support and cooperation is what COMES WITH the premium price the customer paid!!! We and Cat BRAGGED about uptime - and often did contracts based on that! If you do what Deere is doing - you win the argument (for a while) but LOSE THE CUSTOMER!
