  2. By law, illegal aliens apprehended at the border are to be promptly returned through a process called expedited removal. However, migrants are able to circumvent this process by simply claiming they intend to seek asylum, the law as ridiculous as it is, also allows these people a choice of what safe country to claim asylum in. Now by any stretch of the imagination, living in France for 3 or more years i would have thought, would mean these migrants cannot seek asylum in the UK as France is not at war and not likely to be. Why do the taxpayers have to pay for their legal aid and lawers which is never mentioned in the media why not ?
