  1.  @ricco123tube  diesels don't burn readily I've seen a delivery van knocked off a road into a tree in a ditch and it redlining for 10 minutes with a diesel rupture, no fire. On the farm I used to mix petrol and diesel together to get fires burning because the diesel alone was more likely to put it out and petrol flashes too quickly.

  2. They have had them in the Swiss tunnel and the Austrian ones, it would have had a much higher death toll with EVs. Even on a long bridge I wouldn't fancy my chances in heavy traffic.

  3.  @SuperBartet  they burn at about 2600 degrees C as opposed to about 900 degrees for an ICE car and for a lot longer the heat penetrating down to the rebar is the biggest problem and I suppose any cavities filled with water blowing out.

  4.  @SuperBartet  I imagine it would burn much hotter with being fanned by the speed of the train🤔 I think they would have to keep the train moving though so probably the tunnel would be ok?

  6. Putting them together is like putting extra un-dowsable fuel on the fire. They shouldn't be on board at all!
