My daughter studying A levels has been advised not to study Medicine. She was told this because the advisor felt she would not get a place because she is not an international student. This is purely down to how much more money universitys get away with charging international students. This needs addressing, there needs to be a percentage cap putting in place making international students a small proportion of the Drs the UK trains.

@chrisdrakes2332 we should where the deck is being stacked against our own people. The solution is in eliminating waste and legalised embezzlement from all government sectors. Education does not help people any more because the corruption has taken opportunities to be rewarded for education away.

More consumers paying vat and fuel duty etc. reduce the tax burden on the elite. As well as supressing wages and increasing comodity prices all of which favour the elite at the detriment of normal people.

My daughter doesn't want to be a Dr it's the fact tha whole cohort from her Grammar school are being advised not even to bother applying because the deck is stacked against them and that includes 30% British Indian/Pakistani kids. Greed needs putting second place to what's right in the British institutions!

@williebobs3830 it's not about travelling faster it's about transport infrastructure in general. I love in the 2nd biggest county and we haven't got a single centimetre of motorway and neither does the county next to us which is the 4th biggest both on the east coast.

The problem is waste, they waste our tax money, not having a death sentence throws billions away a year, not taking the boat people bills out of the foreign aid budget wastes millions per week. Deliberate waste and leagalised embezzlement is thd biggest problem the UK has, immigration is just another side effect of the main problem!

@GrimUpNorth77 If my daughter is not a good mother she would find herself in court with us, however that isn't going to be a problem as to a good wife, well the bigger issue is with getting her a decent man as a husband. Regarding the reproduction rates, my daughter is Catholic (I'm not) however you are right regarding the fact that she will be older having children because she will be expected to abide by employment laws and also to pay taxes like stamp duty that Muslims do not.

@williebobs3830 ps most of the people I know with degrees (I am a graduate) never came back after Uni because the transport system means anything but the food industry is a non starter here.

Why should any English, Welsh, Scot or Northern Irish pay tax whilst they are not being delivered what they are paying for, the contract with the people has been smashed to smitherines and its about time we recognised that and stopped paying the cowboy politicians and Vichy civil service.
