My wife's a Catholic and my son is being prepared for holy communion by a very devout Catechist. Turns out she was church of England but has been driven out by the woke capture of the Church of England. The pope's rubbing his hands together it's been a few hundred years but it's coming home, Rome's literally winning the cup. Interesting to watch as an atheist.

As someone who's family has been here for well over a thousand years perhaps it's time the Church of England was cashed in and we all got our share of the money and land that our ancestors we conned out of.

@aevans-jl9ym Grandfather was adopted, his Father was a member of the gentry who couldn't keep it in his trousers; however his wife, my grandmother, is on a direct line to William the conqueror similar with my maternal grandmother and my maternal grandfather was Welsh and they were here well over 2K years 😉

@grannyannie2948 Yep, but most on the Anglican infrastructure and wealth was inherited from the Catholic church who were even more ruthless tax collectors.

@grannyannie2948 one of my grandfather's step ancestors for sure (we haven't seen a penny) the rest of the would have slowly had their lands consumed by the voracious second sons of the gentry.

@t.d6379 Tell that to her Priest 🤣 Despite my own beliefs I can't but help respect her devotion. If I was barred from aspects of my religion because of divorce, I would have jacked it in. Her ex is also very devout quotes Leviticus etc. But he's still an A🕳️. Anyway just incase I've given you the impression that I care what your opinion is, let's get the fact that I don't give 💩💩 what your opinion is out there and as an atheist myself (I still go and sit through the services out of respect for the wife) I'm pleased that I don't have to feel guilty about telling you that and also quoting you my favourite part of the bible "Go forth and multiply!"

@chrismaguire3667 Chris it's not that I don't believe in God, it's just that I believe that "god" is the smallest probability number in existence. And your right I don't believe in any religion, the closest you could probably drag me would be Sikhism, they seem to have got it close to right. The day I need saving and I cannot save myself through will, wit or force I will willingly surrender to death as I have no fear of it and never have as it is an inevitable and necessary part of life. I don't need patting on the head and telling it's ok to fortify me. All the best, keep doing your thing and leave me to do mine. 😉
