Anyone who wants reparations needs to go and spend 2 years on the Somali, or Ethiopian bread line and see where they would be if their ancestors had continued to be held in bondage in Africa, they might then start counting their blessings.

@JaketheJust more like to slow America's economic growth once they lost control of the states.

@Aleks-Milenkovic 🤣 Eastern Europe has kept well within their borders haven't they🤣 my town added almost another 50% of new residents in just a couple of years at least the British bought new technology, infrastructure investment and governmental structure with them. You guys just brought depressed wages, increased house prices and competition for medical care. What you need to do is learn a bit of proper history most of the countries added to the empire were not really countries at all and engaged in constant internal warfare. Many had barbaric practices such as burning a widow to death on her husband's funeral pyre which the British outlawed, others committed genocide at any opportunity. The empire brought stability and those who suffered the most from it were those who were in charge before; for many of the lower strata things did not get worse and in many ways there was a real improvement.

Slavery could not happen without Royal Charters, I hope someone told the Portuguese et al. Someone needs to read a few more books.

The Irony that our Black Historian hasn't even looked at the history of Jamaica on Wikipedia, there was already a colony of African Slaves in Jamaica BEFORE the British fought the Spaniards off the Island. It's the Spanish they need to shake down for transporting their ancestors there. Years of research grants and Wikipedia blows your arguments out of the water, embarrassing.🤣🤣🤣

@billw7000 Well it worked for a couple of centuries anyway.

@billw7000 Totally misunderstood me. I am saying that despite Wilberforce's campaigning I doubt the RN would have got the green light to stop slavery if the 1% hasn't lost their holdings in America. Meanwhile what most people forget, most especially the race baiters, is that many of the navy Personnel themselves were likely pressed men who were to all intents slaves as likely to be worked had and flogged as any African and could only hope for a kind master. I do not disparage RN my illigitimate Great grandfather was allegedly Rear Admiral Cayley. All I do is cast doubt on the altruism of the 1% who showed little to their own people.
