  1. 10% of Taiwanese are working in mainland China due to high unemployment in Taiwan. Many companies in Taiwan have move to mainland China due to lower labor cost . Basic job skills like factory manufacturing and agricultural laborers are fast disappearing in China due to automation, robotics and mechanization. Human workers must look for work in service industry like tourism, or any kind of work that is not replaceable by robots or automation. Many factories are totally automated and the lights are turned off to save electricity. Similar situation in modern farms of China. Robotic combine-harvester can work at night , when it can be guided by GPS. Robots/automation don't take breaks, call in sick, don't need health insurance, take holidays or vacations, complain about working conditions, do sloppy work,....or go on strikes for higher wages. 🦉
