@jaredgutierrez9509 - "It comes from Jehovah the Almighty God in his word the Bible the Governing Body. Who are you to question their authority." I fixed it for you.
2
@jaredgutierrez9509 - I'll let you into a little secret. The Governing Body is not Jehovah.
2
@mamajan99 - There is no mention of the terms, "disfellowshipped", "judicial committee", "repentance", or "reinstated." The actions of the JWs are based on their interpretation of that account.
2
@Hammerhead137 - You waited for permission from eight men in NY to grow facial hair. How old are you?
2
@luzelenakates9340 - "It is quite the logical, laid-back religion." I'm sure that you are NOT talking about the J-Dubs.
2
@allks88 - Shunning is emotional extortion.
2
@allks88 - It's entertaining reading all your lies.
2
@allks88 - I know people, myself included, whose JW family have been shunning them for decades. Stop spreading lies.
2
@bethschmidt1304 - Exactly. J-Dubs promote shunning, yet want to deny that they practice it.
2
@carolwalters7069 - Show me one Bible verse that says "Jehovah God demands you to shun evildoers regardless of them being your family", and I'll agree with you. Jesus on the other hand shared the parable of the Prodigal Son. Hmm!
2
@JonesJincyG1979 - Shunning is a "form of discipline"? Treating your own children as if they were dead is loving?
2
@Jaesais - The only changes have been in their terminology. Members are not "disfellowshipped." They are now "removed." You can greet a "removed" person at the Kingdom Hall, but not talk to them. The shunning is still a real thing.
2
@mamajan99 - You should read your comment out loud while looking at yourself in the mirror.
2
@allks88 - Jesus "rocked with" the sinners and tax collectors. "Bible principles" are man-made rules created by the Jehovah's Witnesses leaders. You should follow your own advice about, what was it?, being delusional.
2
@allks88 - I'm a former Bethelite and Regular Pioneer. I'm sure that I've read the Bible many times more than you.
2
@allks88 - So the penalty of not believing in your delusions in a lifetime of shunning? Show me where in the Bible does it say that. Do you listen to yourself when you speak? To answer your question, Jesus hid when his people wanted to make him King. What does that have to do with shunning your own children?
2
@DawnyaJones - Yes. Maybe you should break it down for me. Oh, and please do so in the same arrogant, condescending tone. I'll wait.
2
@Mischief716 - Maybe you should pick up a hobby. You have spent months trying to defend a criminal organization/cult. It's like you're obsessed, it's unhealthy to be honest. I would never allow the lack of critical thinking to consume my mind daily.
2
@allks88 - Your gaslighting has no effect over me. You can twist the evil practice of shunning whichever way you wish, but it's still an evil practice. What makes it worse is that you do so in the name of God.
2
@Mischief716 - You might want to pick up a hobby. You've been in here for MONTHS trying to defend an evil cult. It's like you're obsessed, it's unhealthy to be honest. I would never let something like that consume my mind daily.
2
@DawnyaJones - The Jehovah's Witnesses cult is not growing. Their numbers continue to go down. I advise you to Google which religions are actually growing.
2
@DawnyaJones - Human imperfection is no excuse for CSA cover-up, a century of false prophecies, and violating human rights. If Jehovah is keeping his organization safe and clean, he's doing a lousy job with the Jehovah's Witnesses cult.
2
@Mischief716 - Copy/Paste your comment. It's called projection. Look it up.
2
@mamajan99 - You should do some research on the fastest growing religions. 😉
2
@DawnyaJones - Prove you wrong? I'll have to be more specific.
2
@allks88 - So Jesus hiding justifies shunning how?
2
@Mischief716 - What you are doing is called projection. Seek help.
2
@allks88 - I'm an Ex Bethelite and Regular Pioneer. I've read the Bible many times. Probably more than you.
2
@Mischief716 - Projecting plus Gaslighting. The way of the J-Dub. 🤣
2
@allks88 - I got my life right year ago. As the years go by, and you keep waiting for an End that will never come, you will remember this conversation.
2
@Mischief716 - Right back at you, word by word. And by the way, this isn't about dislikes. Research the Australian Royal Commission. This is about exposing a criminal organization.
2
@mamajan99 - And yet the once "narrow gate" keeps getting broader in the J-Dub community. No more counting time, beards, pants, no more ties...
2
@Mischief716 - I have one question for you. Why do you care? I'm exposing a criminal organization. Why do you care?
2
@allks88 - What are you talking about? Are you talking about the organization that is teaching the Overlapping Generations? That one?
2
@allks88 - Oh! The organization that waits on "God's time." 1925, Beth Sarim, 1975, Overlapping Generations... That Organization? 🤣🤣🤣
2
@allks88 - Please show me where in the Bible does it say, Overlapping Generations, Governing Body, or Judicial Committee. Show me where it says that you had to shave, or that women may or not wear pants.
2
@allks88 - Jesus taught to feed and tend to the poor and in need. Show me where in the Bible does it say that the "preaching work" fulfills this command.
2
@allks88 - The beards policy was changed recently. Before that there were no "Bible principles" to back it, nor there are "Bible principles" for the change. You have to have permission from your Governing Body to wear facial hair. 🤣
2
@allks88 - Do you realize that you are equating questioning your Governing Body with questioning God? You said It yourself that the Governing Body is imperfect. They recognize that they are not inspired. Yet, if you do not obey them, you will be disfellowshipped (now "removed").
2
@mamajan99 - You haven't been to a Kingdom Hall in a while. The Watchtower abandoned the types and anti-types a long time ago.
2
@allks88 - You have "the truth"? Research the Australian Royal Commission, Beth Sarim, 1975. That will show you my point.
2
@allks88 - You are regurgitating the Watchtower's excuse to not follow Jesus' command to tend to those in need. Tell me again how standing next to a cart equals feeding spiritual food.
2
@allks88 - "You don't have to have permission"? Now who's the one who is lying? Your defense is, "We are right because we have the truth." But you don't provide any proof. And when proven wrong, you excuse yourselves by using the "imperfect" card. You can't have it both ways.
2
@allks88 - Feel free to continue avoiding the Watchtower CSA cover-up, Beth Sarim, and 1975.
2
@allks88 - No one said that you would get "removed" for using a beard. You need to keep up, bro! 😜 I'm an Ex Bethelite and Regular Pioneer, so, please. You know that if you refuse to follow the Governing Body orders, you will be "removed." Today's "new light" is tomorrow's apostasy.
2
@theonlyoneagain - Wow! I couldn't leave my wife for anything. That's sad.
2
@ThatOneFoolDathan - Oh, you mean like all those eight-year-olds that are baptized and expected to live that life long contract? Or the many others that are forced into baptism by their parents like Tony Morris said they should?
2
@PaulBrunke - "We do not shun" is a mayor lie.
2
@dectractos - It seems like you have no idea how cults work. But, that's OK. Not everyone does.
2
@dectractos - Yes, I do. 32 years wasted inside the Jehovah's Witnesses cult.
