We in India have one community because of which we spending billions of dollars on security which otherwise could have gone into education or medical care.

  22. Its a point to ponder how Modi is able to directly talk to his voters without the "middlemen" who are called Journalists? The press has hounded him in a sick way until 2014. He understood his electorate so well that he knew he could ignore the press and still get EVERY message out. And TBH, the govt has spokesperson that is tasked with the job of interacting with press. Modi doesn't have to talk to press in person. And I don't want him to talk to this lame leftie press.

  27. No thanks. Partition was a boon for Hindus. Without Partition, you would have an US sized Pakistan. Being an American, don't assume you understand social structures and politics of our country. India is "India" because of Hindus and secular nature of Hindus. Hindus got fed up with one sided secularism where we ought to be secular and they get a free pass to be communal. So here we are. If you have a significant Muslim population in your country, you'll have <your version of chauvinist> party.

Indira was assassinated because she mishandled Khalistan and her role in operation bluestar. She didn't give her life to the nation as you claim. And Rajeev Gandhi mishandled Tamil people of Srilanka. He used Indian Army to kill Tamil people in Srinalnka. He got assassinated for messing up the ethnic conflict of Srilanka. So even Rajeev Gandhi didn't give his life for nation as you claim. Also it should be noted that Rajeev Gandhi messed up our bilateral relationship with Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. Even if you win just 10% of the votes and win a majority of constituencies you get to rule in India. If you want proportional voting, you are free to migrate to those countries that have proportional representation. India isn't that. Chew tiya kahin ka.
