  1. It's foundational research, it doesn't necessarily lead directly to a practical application. Nevertheless CERN's scientific efforts already lead to improvements in medical imaging and radiation therapy. Also I don't see what you think is dangerous about a particle collider.

CERN's scientific efforts already lead to improvements in medical imaging and radiation therapy, although their main focus is foundational research that doesn't necessarily lead directly to a practical application. Also they're not hiding anything - they explain in detail what they do, everyone can access all data from their website, there are tours of CERN's premises, etc. And Hinduism is the third largest religion in the world with just as much legitimacy as every other belief.
