  1. The caller knew.. He was trying to expand the conversation to the PRINCIPLE, not just the law. Which Michael disingenuously talked passed. I usually love this channel, but this was a major disappointment, and many of the comments are too.

  3. Emily Elizabeth Sticks and stones.. Inciting violence doesn't actually mean anything or harm anyone until someone actually acts on that incitement. Those actions should be punished, not words. As for the others, those make sense because they can often hurt people financially and there's a high bar on those things. But the left in general is missing a trick with the incitement to violence and hate speech bullshit. It's not logical. But really, here's the important part, the part that Scotty is possibly concerned about, is that if freedom of expression laws only apply to government intervention, then the bourgeoisie still has the power and ability to severely limit the expression ability of proletarians.

  4. TBH, threats and inciting violence should be protected.. Sticks and stones and all that.. Actions should be punishable, not words. If actions are taken based on those words, then the person has actually transgressed against someone. Until then, no one is actually harmed, unless they're of weak intellectual and emotional constitution, which isn't anyone else's fault. I know, I'm such a horrible right-wing fascist, even though I'm not, please tell me how bad I am..

  7. I'm quite disappointed. I actually think Michael is the one being disingenuous here.. The caller said the "PRINCIPLE" of free speech. To then go on about the first amendment and what the law is, is possibly poor communication on the part of the caller combined with apathetic thinking on Michael's part, or just willful fucking ignorance on Michael's part.
