  4.  @ravenestrella2310  Watching that Hatfields and McCoys show was interesting. The judges portrayed in that were clearly very biased and not very intellectual, and then I coupled that with my embrace of Spinoza's philosophy of sub specie aeternitatis, and realise that the time difference between then and now isn't that actually as long as our short human lifespans generally make us perceive time, history and the progression of culture. Sadly, I don't think other judges and lawyers in other legal systems are that much more intelligent. It tends to be the bourgeois, more than top intellects that pursue or are able to pursue an education and work in the legal system. It's just the U.S. seems extra egregious.
