  1. They're are some ugly pretty stories about unions up north. (corrupt unions, aka: union thugs have and do still exist in some states.) What the right does down here is take these stories and paint in across the entire US labor movement. Plus for the racist, bigot vote they add the old dog whistle politics equating northern union yank = lazy black moocher. I semi-support unions however I think they truely need a 'serious' overhaul in how they are setup and function.
