  1. This is great news! However, we still have to face the fact that the asinine market fundamentalist zeitgeist in this country still has a 'lot' of power and influence over the American people. Along with the ugly remnants of McCarthyism! St. Ronnie may be dead, however, millions still believe his hypocritical, lying anti-government bullshit from the 80s. I feel that such massive endeavours like universal healthcare and reestablishing a system of super cheap to free university are gonna take decades to accomplish. The main thing is the nation's zeitgeist has to fully turn towards social democracy and away from laissez-faire bullshit. Especially since the moment we establish these services, these evil, greedy, mafia-tactics jerks are gonna pull every lying, nasty, sabotaging trick in the book to destroy them! Laissez faire has to fucking DIE first! In order for Social Democracy to be safe to fully thrive!
