Probably because they don't see difference between v and w? From Middle French magasin "warehouse, depot, store", from Italian magazzino, from Arabic makhazin, plural of makhzan "storehouse". At its root, the word "magazine" refers to a collection or storage location.

What do you mean?

@indycharlie мужской туалет-muzhskoi tualet. Gde muzhskoi tualet? Where is men room? Не входить-ne vhodit' Заходите-Zahodite/Voidite

@afellawithrubella most of the cities have some background story. Like Tula (home of the russian firearms) mean "hiden, well protected place". Also often they named after a nearby river. Volgograd=town on river volga.

Its just my opinion but even people from my generation (generally) don't really involved in high and classic culture. Some do. I know a few classic musicians and artists but majority of people just consume mainstream culture. Same could be said about the younger generation.

No problem)

It fit just fine. You can look at English-russian keyboard on Google images. For example: Ё is on ~ and you have to hold shift to use it.

@coltonshealy480 Seems just fine from over here. More than fine actually. Well. Before Corona.

@coltonshealy480 Russia wasn't fine. And it sure is won't be fine after. Small bussines are dying of death. Ruble crush and burn. 54%of people don't believe in corona. Putin diddling with constitution...
1
@coltonshealy480 there is a russian streamer who live in Italy. She says that italians neglect basic quarantine safety rules. Even when death toll is 800 per day. They gather in public, have picnics and do not wear masks.
