  3.  @melgrant7404  Duckenfield has been in front of a jury in a Crown Court three times, and has not been convicted. The relatives of the Hillsborough victims were warned before Duckenfield and Mackrell were tried in a Crown Court that a verdict by a Coroner's Court's jury is reached on the balance of probability. In the Hillsborough case , the verdict was unlawful killing. In a Crown Court case, the burden of proof to convict someone is much greater - the jury has to sure beyond a reasonable doubt. Also, the defendents could only be tried against Health and Saftety law as it stood on the 15th April 1989, not when the defendents went to trial. Obviously this mainly concerned the prosecution of Mackrell.
