@joeschmoe233 Ik it’s a year old comment and all but the idea of CRT trying to demonize the straight, white male demographic is a misconception. Just like the misconceptions pointed out from the video like how everything and everyone is racist or that all white people are inherently evil. CRT does not villainizes or victimizes any racial or ethnic group. The U.S. did however historically pander to straight white males and that did happened whether we like to acknowledge it or not! It looks at and analyzes the various visible racial disparities through critical, non bias lenses. The topics may delve into things like incarceration, high school graduation, life expectancy, financial literacy, etc.
To conservatives, CRT comes off as pandering towards African Americans because statistically they actually face some of the highest rates of food insecurity, unemployment, poverty, gun violence, etc. nationwide, with poor whites from rural or southern states and Native Americans following suite most of the time.
