1 This song is not rock opera, it does not fit the definition. 2 This song does not contain any opera genre in it. it does not fit the definition. 3 Brian May wrote the Bohemian Rhapsody guitar solo.
28
Incredible the sound that was produced by only a lead guitar, a bass, a drummer and occasionally piano
27
is it because Brian wanted to mimic the sound of some brass type instrument?
25
QUEEN FACTS: Freddie did not record "Show must go on" in one take. The Bohemian Rhapsody guitar solo was written/created solely by Brian May Vanilla Ice does not own the rights to "Under Pressure" Freddie did not have AIDS when he sang at Live Aid 1985
25
that's his cool face
24
Best produced track on that album. There some sounds on this track I have only heard on grunge and alternative rock from 90's.

BOTH PLAYED ON THE ACOUSTIC PART Brian May: "We were working on this little Spanish guitar piece in the middle. He's very good at that sort of stuff, so instantly it seemed like a good idea to get him in to play all the stuff that I can't play. He taught me how to play his chromatic runs, so I owe him a big debt."

"vocal line" means a part, a bit, a portion, in this case he was talking about the last chorus of the song. I gave a link with video PROOF that Freddie did not do the vocals in one take, if you can't understand english spoken from the mouth of Brian May, then you are debil. Also no professional studio recording of a complex song is done in one take, Queen were pros in the studio...
19
why compare someone so inferior to Freddie?
17
Queen +Adam Lambert played over 180 concerts 📈
16
A rock band should play live equally as good in studio... Brian live wouldn't be up to the task for the "Queen" name.
15
 @jacobpaulson23 is right
15
lol the vocals were not done in one take

12
Brian May wrote the guitar solo for Bohemian Rhapsody
12
Brian says clearly it was not recorded in one take see: The Show Must Go On - Queen Days of our Lives
12
Flamenco part was done by both Steve and Brian
11
Brian is the orchestra, literally

"Freddie [Mercury] had the whole piece pretty well mapped out, as I remember, but he didn’t have a guitar solo planned. So I guess I steamed in and said, ‘This is the point where you need your solo, and these are the chords I’d like to use.’ The chord progression for the solo is based on the verse, but with a slight foray into some different chords at the end, to make a transition into the next part of the song. I’d heard the track so many times while we were working on it that I knew in my head what I wanted to play for a solo. I wanted the guitar melody to be something extra, not just an echo of the vocal melody. I had a little tune in my head to play. It didn’t take very long to record."

one take vocals are for amateurs, not for Queen.... Freddie didn't record this song in one take
8
sounds like a leftover from 1982
8
Brian wrote all the guitar solos in Freddie's songs
8
funny how undeducated, lamebrained people believe Freddie recorded that song in one take. 😅like that is how complex recordings are done...in one take 🤣
8
@johnstitt3717 let me tell you about how many squeakers want to believe Freddie wrote the Bohemian Rhapsody guitar solo...even more on a piano.
8
only a highly educated british person can write this
8
How the fuck do you think a song so complex was done with only one vocal take??? One take was the hard bit at the end of the song... Complex song are made in bits and pieces.

@pheenix42 "vocal line" means a bit, a portion, a sequence, not the whole track, pro's record complex songs in bits and pieces.
