  6.  @leo-3778  I've worked with the corpus of ex-slave narratives linked to in this video so know a bit about how they came to be written down. How well do you know the corpus the video draws from? If you don't have any concrete evicence to point to I can understand why you resort to calling me the Evil One. It makes you feel superior and no doubt gains you lots of clicks but adds nothing to the discussion.

  7. On the other hand, if Ukrainians, Lithuanians, Latvians, Estonians and Finns wanted to preserve or gain independence from the USSR, who were they supposed to ally with? Britain, Free France and the US were firm allies of the USSR.

  8.  @Occident.  I wouldn't go that far. But I think all the 'holier than thou' voices need to put the countries I mentioned in the original post into their historical context before rushing to condemnation today, when the world looks different than it did during WWII.

  12. One would think there would be more black/white mixing in the Caribbean than in Africa. This would seem to predict that Caribbean-British children ought to do better in school than Africo-British children if the hypothesis of the video maker in countless videos is correct. But Afro-British childern score higher in test results than Caribbean-British children for some presumably non-genetic reason.
