@killab4870 the general layperson NZer has no place deciding the fate of a first nation people. It's taken decades for dozens of highly experienced and well informed academics to extrapolate the context and meaning of Te Tiriti. Look at this chat and tell me that anyone here is educated enough to be responsible for such a change. The blatant racism, outright Maaori-phobic race baiting, and extremities of ignorance are on display for all to see. You're wanting to trust these people with the fate of NZs founding document?

No-one is holding Maaori back: - Native Schools Act - Resource Management Act - Native Land Tax Act - Tohunga Suppression Act - 900,000 hectares stolen from Waikato at gunpoint (To name a few) You seem reasonably intelligent, so I ask you to connect the dots and tell me that Acts of government in NZ have not disadvantaged and marginalised Maaori to the point that they are the most impoverished, most jailed, most openly attacked demographic NZ wide.
