The general public does not get to re-write the Treaty. The agreement is between Maaori and Crown, not 3rd party interlopers. Curiously, ACT claims it wants a conversation and were invited to have it at Tuurangawaewae yet... they tucked tail and ran.😂

@hughheeney3554 Same rights and privileges as the Queen's Citizens, as well as maintaining articles 1, 2, and 3. Very important not to leave those parts out. Very important. Crucial even.

This is the most underrated comment I have seen about this topic. I'm copying it and will attribute when I quote it , thank you

@wood_rat that pretty much says it all. No respect for the country he's trying to destroy, preferring to court the Indian vote.

Count those on the app and live stream too plz.

@marsspacex6065 fortunately for the world, you are incorrect due to international law around this topic. Also, even if govt. attempts to change it, the general lay NZer (you) will have no say whatsoever in it 😂

He represents the people, that's why.

@stevehughes1510 ...if you're racist and you know it clap your hands 👏🏽 steve hughes 👏🏽

Immigrants come to NZ under mandate of the govt, the govt answers to the Crown. The Treaty is between Crown and Maaori. Not Maaori and lay NZers who do not understand the Treaty.

Depends how much trouble it will be for Nat's. Right now it's trouble.

@rogermartin8435 in terms of the recent hui, I'd like to point out that there were official ground rules put in place by Kiingi Tuuheitia that: "Te Kiingitanga expects manuhiri to adhere to the following five tikanga: Tumatawhaanui/inclusivity Taiaroha/positivity Whakataikaha/strengths-based Rangimaarie/peace He ahu whakamua/future-focused". From all the footage I saw (I attended online) I didn't notice any aggression, and there were no reports of violence or violent rhetoric. The suggestion that the hui was aggressive is not shown as far as I can see.

Harder to count when you're from Inglewood 😂

@moronicdooshbaggery756 I'm Paakehaa and I disagree with what the govt is doing to the Tiriti. It's racism

The prosecution calls Simple Seymour to the stand to be punished according to lore😂

@rogermartin8435 what happened to "equality for all"?

@rogermartin8435 whilst I don't share your optimism that most NZers want what's best for all, I appreciate your conversarion. In the last month, anti-Maaori rhetoric has become the norm in social media. For example, I have had death threats made against myself and my family, been called all kinds of racial slurs and been told to stay in my place. Another point of difference is the assertion that TPM are aggressive, I would say pissed off maybe, but they are speaking truth to power. From the perspective of their constituents they are defending the right to be Maaori, and I agree.
3
@LawrenceTurnbullan obvious immigrant, here under the auspices of the generosity of the Maaori who, in 1840, allowed your forebears the right to be here.
3
@susanbarlow1585 yes. The fact that 1000 years ago NZ was settled by Maaori, that sets what is called "precedent".
3
@barbsmart7373 we love you and our allied Paakehaa, Tangata Tiriti and beautiful humans. You are what the Treaty intended, co-opting for a better country based in compassion and forging a true partnership. Stay strong sister (or brother) We will prevail ✊🏽
2
@rogermartin8435 you make a fair point. Staying on topic, I feel this will fuel the Greens by opening a power vacuum bringing in a more vocal, vivacious, and virile rhetoric alongside allies, TPM.
2
@tekivakatini26 you can't even spell Moorioori 😂 you're why literacy in schools needs work
2
@barbsmart7373 I notice Seymour attended an Indian religious event while Raatana was on too, all the while claiming he didn't attend religious ceremonies 🤷🏽♂️

More Hobson Pledge racist propaganda borrowed from slave owner narratives to justify their actions

@Millca because if you have 10 you needed 20, if you have 20 you need 30. It's the way that white supremacists dismiss non white people.
1
@rogermartin8435 it appears that "most NZers" couldn't give a rat's a55 about Maaori or the content of The Tiriti. If you genuinely do, if you are not just trying to view it from a perspective of destroying Maaori, then you are truly rare.
