Looks like they are revoking the use of that area for now. Paakehaa landowners do that everyday, what's the difference? 🤷🏽♂️

Good luck in the far north bud 😂 You might find out why Tauiwi turned tail and fled that fighting stage.

@nukerzerothefirst3417 inform yourself about Ruapekapeka. Hongi Hika, Hone Heke, Te Kaawiti. Remember there were 2000 settlers and 200,000 Maaori at the time of signing the Treaty and your forefathers were allowed to live here because of it.
3
Waitangi Tribunal have found they are sovereign and did not cede sovereignty.

@nukerzerothefirst3417 that doesn't include most south island or far north Maaori population, a low estimate is 200k. Good on you for looking up the info, hopefully that gives you context to the ridiculous notion that Maaori handed power over to Crown, let alone settlers.

Ngaati Kahu have been sharing for 170 years, looks like they are pausing their courtesy?

@darkcrystal438 So 2.4 million acres stolen in Waikato and Taranaki alone is a small amount?

@s1lv3rbordeaux47 😂😂 I bet you thought you had a "gotcha" moment when you came up with this, but it's shows how uninformed you and most NZers are about Maaori. Settlers started coming here from around 1800. The Maaori in those areas learned English in about 5 days after they first set foot here. Others did not, and that is why the Paakehaa version of the treaty is different and was used as a "bait and switch" to decieve Maaori in that version. Do some research before you have an opinion lol

@miri-kc4fu it's not treason when the group is sovereign, in fact, the opposite would be true 🤔

All lies from school journals that were publicly apologised for.

@purefoldnz3070 you wheel out this specific trope when you want to invalidate Maaori ownership. Unfortunately the historical facts don't support you. 🤷🏽♂️
1
@purefoldnz3070 You admit that your tropes are not historically correct, that's called a self-own friend 😂
1
@purefoldnz3070 You used the trope to debase Maaori land ownership, not to address Moorioori. So, your actual point is not to address Moorioori, but to diminish Maaori rights. And that, is what we call racism.
1
@purefoldnz3070 you're using Moorioori as leverage for your ideology that Maaori somehow don't belong in their own land. So, racist and opportunistic to support your political ideals, nice one.
1
@nukerzerothefirst3417 incorrect, Maaori never ceded sovereignty. Check the Waitangi Tribunal findings and every tribe involved. Think about it, why would 200000 people hand over sovereignty to 2000 settlers..? Exactly, they wouldn't and didn't.
