  12. God bless Devon πŸ™πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘, I truly hope the locals hear about your heart and back you all the way ( Vote one Devon for mayor ❀️). The bride got to talking to a young gay couple while we were at Samford show grounds who were renting a battered old van for $640 p/m with site fees extra at a discounted rate of $600p/m . One of the girls old mum had hurt her back and had to move in with them. To me it sounded crazy but that’s the reality of the cost of big city living these days, the old saying of you get nothing for nothing just doesn’t apply anymore, now it’s you get nothing for HEAPS 😢😳🀯🀬😑. We are now up in Hervey Bay Queensland, whale watching capital of the world. We can’t wait to go and see Dawn our 82 year young tenant of the house I brought the bride for her birthday last year when we were up here last , she is excited to meet up for a cuppa and bicky and we’re keen to make sure she happy and has everything she needs or wants. Currently at a van park that one of the brides old mates runs ,so we got upgraded to an ensuite and a large discount rate as well ❀️😘😍πŸ₯° ya gotta love mates . A couple of our old bosses retired up here as well so we’re booked in for dinner a couple of nights in a row πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ bloody free loaders πŸ‘πŸΊ All the best to all fellow glowbies πŸ™β€οΈπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒπŸ•β€πŸ¦ΊπŸ˜˜πŸ˜πŸ₯°πŸ¦˜πŸ¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί

  49. Well said Carol, all good points, although I think you’re talking to the converted. It’s always the few bad apples or the unknowing or just plain ignorant that spoil it for all . One of the great journeys here is to go to the tip of Cape York ,the northern most point of Australia, the local aboriginal custodians of the land were so feed up with people going to the toilet were ever they wanted without burying it , leaving poo and toilet paper all over the place. It was so bad and disrespectful that they were talking about closing the area to all . The outcry in response was,it’s not us it’s foreign tourists. That’s until COVID hit and there was no foreign tourist only Ozzie’s and the problem still remained. To me the answer would be to build toilets every 50 to 100 miles, then you’d need to control vandalism in such remote areas. As for approaching someone doing the wrong thing, me and the bride discussed this at length and or conclusion is best not to, you never know the response and you just don’t need the grief. Love and prayers, stay strong 😘😍πŸ₯°β€οΈπŸ™πŸ™πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ•β€πŸ¦ΊπŸΊπŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ίp.s. still at Gootchie Creek Escape to good to leave so we’re staying another week, apart from a couple of campers right up the other end we have 600 acres to our self’s. Think campfires and a million stars and you get the picture. Look it up on google earth πŸ‘πŸ‘β€οΈπŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί
