@jaymorgan. If you are gentle and the timing is right, it isn't a problem. What you have to avoid is shifting into a forward gear while still moving backward (the faster the worse) or into reverse while still moving forward.

@brayanflores700 I am only familiar with the Honda incarnation around the turn of the century. That action progressively bent a fork in the transmission, requiring a teardown.
