  3. We all needed TSMC to do this. Philips needed to outsource ASML, and outsource all semiconductor production to Taipei. in 1989 we already outsourced it all, AMD in East Germany too them over, outsourced too now, Global partners now. Not getting new EUV fabs now.

  4. True, they invested heavy in AMD outsourcing it's Fabs to TSMC. A good thing that Global Foundries was outsourced in the late 2010 years. The Dubai markets are not needing chips i guess, why build a fab there, just invest in TSMC only !

  5. user Dubai just invested in AMD, GlobalFoundries, all Fabless now.... We all outsourced production at TSMC, and get local TSMC fabs now.

  7. Germanium, Lucent and Philips already partnered with the Taipei, TSMC took over these relations. Klaus Wiemer, TU/e, ASML and all supported the outsourcing in Taipei, the development and production needed to be concentrated, harvesting the needed raw materials all over the world. We all can design modern CPU's, and produce them at TSMC ! Go full blown Fabless ! Intel only, or are they moving production now too, unable to keep up ?
