  3.  @TheOnlyDamien  I was in school in the 1980 90 ish years, it was all done before in these days. TSMC was already the goal, outsourcing it all. Small innovations, step by step, concentrated.

  4. Binnig and Rohrer were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1986 for their discovery I remember that as a kid, i was reading what they did, but now i do understand what they did, i could have discovered it myself, this is the base of how we develop algorithms for designing CPU.

  7. catsspat So Dimm it is, small outline alternative on a smaller formfactor, the same. My Elitebook has 2 So slots, most fancy ultrabook models have it soldered on the board, one 16 Gb DDR 4 chip on a slot, able to do 2 X 64 Gb ma. HP EliteBook 830, love it, easy to upgrade all parts, wifi, G5 telefoon network, and fast DDR 4 too, 3200, it's 2023 now !
