  1. Asteroids as weapons is just crap by people that do not know how orbital mechanics work. You need to expend a CRAPTON of energy to change drastically the delta V of a large asteroid. If you spend too little you will get at most an orbit that will hit your target.. within 50 years! That is a HORRIBLE weapon. Weapons need to be able to achieve a kill at most MINUTES after the attack is triggered. Peopel simply forget the scale of things and how the translate to time. The asteroids used in the expanse are as BAD sci-fy as a sponge bob episode. it would take so long to hit the target that it would be impossible to not detect with WEEKS of advance and Earth/Mars technology there would be easily able to dispatch it.
