@gintasvilkelis2544 The side that attacks is not part of the definition of proxy or not. Proxy war is a war where at least one of the major power involved does it behind the state of a minor player. That is the definition always used in geopolitics.

It is factually a war between NATO and Russia as the Vietnam was a war between USA and Soviet union. It is called a proxy war, but the real players are NATO and Russia.. What makes me think is, damn if Russia was stilla s strong as it was in the late 80's and with help of the warsaw pact, things would have been really bad for NATO back then.

@gintasvilkelis2544 But Russia is not the INSTIGATOR. RUssia is the actor. The instigator was goes way back when europe "sponsored" the coup in Ukraine. Not discussing if it was right or wrong, just the fact that the first side to throw sand in the gears was europe.
