@carso1500 That is not how wars work. You do nto need to face the enemy military front forces to win a war. You need to take objectives. You can have 10 M1A1 Abrams . They woudl NEVEr lose against 300 T55. But the 300 T55 are a MUCH MUCH more capable warfare tool, becaus eyou cannto control any significant amount of ground with 10 vehicles only.

@carso1500 That is the point.. the army with the 300 T55 will win on most scenarios. 300 T55 can kill infantry roughly 30 times faster than 10 M1. Tank vs tank is NOT the critial point of land warfare is not tank combat until you have a few hundred tanks at least.

@carso1500 Tanks do not advance in ANY urban area (basically the places you want to take, besides the obvious logistic points like bridges etc..). without infantry. Modern warfare is not armored spearhead. Since the late 60's the concept is combined warfare and infantry must be intermixed. The advent of ATGM made spearheading of armored forces a suicidal tactic. If you have only 10 tanks you can use only a FRACTION of your infantry effectively. The main capability of tanks is to be mobile fire support against infantry on any war other than the expected NATO vs Soviet union clash that never happened. If you try to use your 10 superior tanks to cripple the enemy 300 tank forces, you are goign to be outmaneuvered since you cannot have those tanks in a wide enough front. You will have your army stuck because it does not have enough tanks to support ANY advancement.

@carso1500 You assume the enemy will not deny fighting your vehicles. When you have numeric superiority but inferior units you deny combat. That is specially easy to do if you are on offensive and if the front is large. 10 tanks is basically nothing.. you cannot cover any sizeable front.

@carso1500 No you can have an army on both sides and that is given. That does not change the fact that on open terrain infantry CANNOT hold against tanks without tanks or ANTI tank vehicles. That is simple factual data of how warfare works.

@carso1500 Point me a single case of Open warfare in the last 10 years where it was critical. Also I advise you to read. I said LIEK urban warfare. Not only urban warfare. Open terrain warfare is the EXCEPTION.. it is succh an exception that NATO tank design ditched the concept of gun launched ATGM because long range combat was expected to be so rare that it was not worth to focus on it. REal warfare is about taking positions, controlling logistic lines and limiting the mobility and support of your enemy. Open field fire exchange DIED after the battle of Kursk.

@carso1500 300 T55 is very realistic. 10 Abrams not so much because few countrie shave them. The most feasible scenario would be export abrams captured by rebels in Iraq or soemthing like that. But you can reverse that scenario. If you get 2 dozen T14 (That is how many Russia seems to have)... and if they were stupid to try to attack an army with an armored force of 300 Leopard 2 A4 (an 80's tank quite outdated if comapred to the T14).. they would get butchered!

@aaronleverton4221 Yes they will. Easily. REALLy easily. Just the time you need to stop to retreat adn reload the 1 tank and on that moment the troops move safely. ensures that. That is nto even up to debate, that is simple production parallel thing. The same math applies on this scenario.

@aaronleverton4221 RELOADING not the round ! Reloading ammo stores and fuel. A single tank Cannot keep any ground covered for too long! I suggest you sop for a second out of video games and realize war is not a death match with predefined combatzone and a 15 min timmer.

A lot of those abrams are still with the old 105mm cannon (of thsoe in storage) so those do notqualify in the quality itself

@Ilamarea All countries? Can you imagine why Linchenstein would need that? Even if every single person was a soldier they woudl not be able to hold their ground.. so why waste time?

You cannot ignore the fact that for most of the last 50 years the wars USA and Europe gets in are aggression against other countries mostly justified for political reasons, not defense. That reduces a lot the appeal of patriotism.
