@GusCraft460 They do not need to be enough. They are just enough to push the result of the energy equation to a direction where only ONE possible solution is stable (numerically) ... then that is the result you get. The laws of thermodynamics are valid to all forms of energy and if you push a system in a situation where only by removing or adding energy to the system you can move out of a state, than that state is kept, automatically . That is how the langrange points work ( no they are not points where the gravity of the bodies candcel eahc other, otherwise they would be literally points, while in fact they are valleys in the kinetic potential energy field of values)
