I've thought about building a pre-lubrication system. Did you find it helped?

I'm a firm believer that unspoken gratitude is never heard!! Great job finding the positive items! Great catch on the open tube drawing in unfiltered air!!

@TonicofSonic the inspection was only as good as the person doing it! Factory trained means there's at least one person who has passed the test the manufacturer gives. The other people haven't had to take that test. I saw this in a Bobcat dealership. Main bobcat guy quits. Service writer scrambles and takes the test. Shop was compliant once again!

The combustion noise we heard once in a while was when enough air seeped past the blockage and provided air for one combustion event! That one random combustion event was really bugging me!

Was the relay you replaced bad? 🤔

My guess. An injector burned a piston on the hill climb. 5-30-25 10:51 AM

Respect has been earned from this channel!! I just purchased a 2013 Equinox. Just over 150,000 miles. People say stay away from those! They burn oil! Which one of those people have stopped and opened up the engine to replace the low tension rings? Which one of those have installed a catch can to separate the harmful liquid being passed back into the engine causing the buildup on the intake valves? Bought this vehicle sight unseen from Vegas. Brother-in-law did the legwork. We'll fly into Vegas use it as our 'rental' vehicle and then drive it back to MN.

Alex-nb6rm looks like your name is Alex not "No one". 🤔 You apparently appear to be in the minority with this opinion. 🤔

@davidwayne6318 what vehicle did you put $250,000 into? What work do you still need done?

I'm in MN Might have to check them out.

@brucekellett2269 Bruce, is being a locomotive Engineer a stressful job? 🤔 I work with a guy that used to be an Engineer, now he's running production machinery. Just attempting to understand why he's not an Engineer anymore. Would valve your opinion.

My '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have AC after replacing the evapotor, compressor, and a high pressure hose. I did all of the work myself. There's no way I would have taken it to a shop. The bill would have exceeded thr value of the vehicle!

@1stfrompuertorico568 vehicle fixed or leaking eyes? 🤔

@mondavou9408 what about car collectors with 6+ vehicles?? Do they change their oil on all of their vehicles every 6-12 months? 🤔

Are these gapless rings available for gas engines?

"Warmup the engine before giving it the beans." A 70° day. From startup, how much time would be needed before putting your foot in it? Just got a '13 a Equinox with the 2.4L. drove it from Vagas (rust free) to MN. Was concerned about oil consumption. Didn't use any. 170,000+ miles on it.

Did the owner remove the tune? 🤔

Was the oil leak fixed? 🤔

Are you implying the engine diagnostic was a mistake? 🤔

Thank you for not just condemning the engine right away!
