People expected the release of the JFK documents to reveal the hidden truth but if anything they expose what the Kennedy's were up to WRT Cuba and Cuba was always at the heart of Oswald's motivation. He was always looking for a utopia and Cuba was his last shot. When they told him to get lost he figured if he made a big enough splash as a revolutionary they would give him a pass and let him in. That seems like the most plausible explanation. Like his brother Robert said, the physical evidence and eye witness testimony all point to Lee Harvey. I did a great deal of reading on both sides and while I went in expecting to find a conspiracy in the end all I found was Lee Harvey Oswald and a cheap mail-order rifle. Like Norman Mailer said, it doesn't balance out. On one side of the scale you have a young president people pinned their hopes to while on the other you have a three-time loser with a cheap weapon who is able to take him down but that is the way life works sometimes. Unfortunately, a better case can be made for Occam's Razor than a conspiracy. And the simplest explanation in this instance is the opportunity presented itself to the three-time loser and he took advantage of it. You can hunt all you want, I did. But at the end of the day, no physical evidence or credible eye-witness testimony has emerged that would exonerate Lee Harvey Oswald or reveal any confederates. The Warren Commission was hamstrung to an extant because on the one hand you had powerful forces leaning on them to eliminate the possibility of a conspiracy and on the other you had Allen Dulles running interference for the Kennedy's and the CIA, steering them away from all the Operation Mongoose stuff and other black ops they were running against Castro. Bobby Kennedy himself admitted they were more adventurous than wise about a lot of things, especially Cuba. He walked around with that guilt until the day he died because he was the one pushing the CIA like a madman to get Castro. There were two Bobby's, Bobby before the assassination and Bobby after. He knew Cuba was at the heart of it. Was Oswald actively encouraged during his time in Mexico City? That remains the only open question and it's only open because Dulles shut that door. Oh well. RIP Jack Kennedy. You weren't the man the myth makers made you out to be but you were okay.
