  1. Perusing briefly through the comments makes me feel that much older. I see comments about the good old days and classic tunes of the 80s and 90s and I think to myself: "Except for artists like Tom Petty and Joe Jackson I kinda checked out after 1975." But the 80s were 40 + years ago so they have a point. My golden age ran from 1965 to 1975, when I came of age. Others look back nostalgically at the 50s. We're talking 60, 70 years ago. I mentioned this to my sister today, that kids watching me tap my toes to The Beatles, The Who, and The Doors would kinda be like me watching people jamming out to Bessie Smith and Al Jolsen on an old Victrola back in the 70s. And yes, there were still a few of those around when I was coming of age. Oh well, each generation embraces its own. I wonder what a time traveler from the 18th Century would make of it. I guess they'd shout out: "Give me that good old Beethoven and Bach." Which, I like myself to be honest. To each his own. Like I say, the comments just make me feel a bit long in the tooth. Using the term long in the tooth makes me feel long in the tooth for that matter. Ce la vie. Father time remains undefeated.
