  1. My dad worked on the docks and knew the captain and several of the crew members quite well. He worked on the door fittings and other structural components in the late 60s and was a supervisor in charge of stevedores in Detroit at the time of the sinking. It really hit him hard. That was a sad day for sure. RIP gentlemen.

  2. I know it's fashionable in Hollywood to take out Paris in the asteroid movies but these things seem to have a natural affinity for Russia, at least lately. If you needed another reason to reconsider purchasing that Russian summer home, getting bonked on the head by a big old space rock might provide it.
