  1. I suppose it makes sense. To put it in perspective, when I was a teenager in the 1970s I wasn't really up on Rudy Vallee or Al Jolson. As far as data goes, I think the metrics get skewed a bit by a particular song. Bohemian Rhapsody is one of those tunes that has stayed at the forefront of the American consciousness so it will tilt the needle in Queens direction over a band like The Beatles but I bet if you look at it over time the data might reveal something else again. As for why Jimi is failing to register with young people...well...I guess ya just had to be there. 😎
