  1. Wait a minute I remember that 7.28 minute eclipse. It was actually 8.5 minutes and it happened in 744 BC, not 743. I think I still have a commemorative Mayan coin with that date on it if anyone doubts my veracity. Kidding aside, I won't see the eclipse but a comet would be cool. It doesn't sound like Hale-Bopp but it might be worth a peek.
