  1. The Japanese pulled off some of the worst atrocities any group of people has ever committed at any time in history. That is why I was so pissed when that half-an-idiot Tom Hanks said the war in the Pacific was so brutal because of American racial attitudes toward the Japanese. The Japanese benefitted from being a potential bulwark against communism in the Far East, even if it was done primarily through economic means. A lot of stuff got swept under the carpet and the reputations of several key WWII players, including Yamamoto got a revisionist paint-job. While the clean-up on aisle five may have worked on simps like Hanks who have a built-in disdain for America the nations in that region didn't forget. They knew good and damned well what really happened and the Japanese were awfully slow about owning up to their barbaric past. There should have been a Far Eastern equivalent to the Nuremberg trials but there wasn't and the fact it didn't bother enough people is a problem.
