I have been saying for a while that people on the political right have been star-hungry since obama and globing on to people like Joe Rogan and Dave Portnoy simply because they hold one view that lines up with their own. You've got Fox News flattering Bill Maher for calling out woke culture even though he hates the conservative movement a whole lot more than he does censorship. Maher is not a moderate, will never be a moderate, and cozying up to him isn't going to change that, ever. I say the political right is star hungry because I don't think those left in the conservative movement, as few of us as there are, ever bought into Kanye's conversion. Wearing a MAGA hat and calling yourself a Christian doesn't change who you are. Sorry, but flattering Trump should not give someone a lifetime pass. You are right about the left loving this. You know good and damned well they are busy making commercials for 2024 showing Trump with Kanye and Kanye with Alex Jones spewing out this lunacy. But Trump, who should know better, can't help himself. He won't distance himself from the guy and that's fine so long as he's not running for president. But since he is, he should act like it. But he won't, because that's not in his nature. Oh well. Such is life in the age of stupid.

  4. I'm glad you addressed this aspect of Libertarianism. I could never get on board with their overall philosophy because it lacks a moral center. The whole live and let live approach to life is fine if people are angels but they are not. I'm not going to get into the damage online porn inflicts. There is enough evidence to support that claim. My problem is with the mindset that see's sex work as they call it as a victimless crime. This woman is not alone when it comes to this broader issue. I used to follow Dennis Prager and Prager U but the more I listened to Dennis during his fireside chats, his libertarian views started to rub me the wrong way. Then I watched an interview he did with a man who was doing God's work and fighting sex traffickers at the street level. Prager started going out of his way to draw distinctions between boys and girls who were physically forced into that world versus those who volunteered. The man he was interviewing tried to keep the emphasis on the predatory nature of the evil men and women who were ensnaring these "volunteers" but Prager kept at it, gong way beyond the point of playing devils advocate in my opinion. He kept referring to his "libertarian sensibilities" as the basis for pimps rights. I expressed my disagreements with Prager's arguments in the comment section and said I had heard enough from him to convince me to stop supporting Prager U. His "followers" let me have it pretty good. Just like it is with the left, there are certain Pharisees and wise old men on the right who are off limits when it comes to criticism. I don't believe in purity tests but I am done supporting people who may share one value with me but violate ten others. Like the "brave" commentators who say they aren't worried about being cancelled but then qualify their remarks ("I don't have a problem with transgenderism as a thing," or "I don't have a problem using someone's preferred pronoun out of respect, etc.). Maybe I'm just that crusty old guy but we, as a society, have given enough ground to the demonic forces who are out to end us. Playing nice and adopting "a do what you want as long as it doesn't directly affect me or hurt anyone else" attitude is what got us in this mess to begin with. I'm sorry, but morality and moral codes are not social constructs. They come from God and we compromise on them at our own peril. I think the conservative movement (such as it is anymore) is so hungry for allies and stars of their own that they are willing to overlook any number of red flags and past behavior if the person can help them "own the libs." Bill Maher gets all kids of praise these days because he believes in free speech. But he still despises the right, especially those who have the audacity to believe in God and God's judgment. I could go on but I've said too much already. Go ahead if you want, accuse me of heresy, but keep this in mind; if you fall into the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" trap, are you really that much different then those on the left you have been calling out for years? That's my take on it anyway. Thanks for the video Matt. There is more at stake than tax rates and anti-gun legislation. Anyone who bemoans the good old days when anyone could upload porn on the internet ought to be called out. But the thought process behind why they believe what they believe needs to be vetted a bit more carefully. The devil doesn't restrict his business to any one side of the political spectrum.

  5. This is precisely why I don't waste time with libertarians. I saw this Praeger video where he was interviewing a guy combatting sex trafficking. Praeger kept trying to make the distinction between trafficking and prostitution as a business enterprise, referring back to his libertarian sensibilities and basically saying we had to be careful we weren't getting in the way of some well-meaning pimp engaging in what he considered to be a victimless crime. The same goes for that Stossel character, who argued on the one hand that you shouldn't stop anyone exercising their right to shoot up drugs on the street while on the other bemoaning the pit of hell San Francisco has become as a result of junkies holding people up and urinating in front of kids. The libertarian live-and-let-live approach to everything leaves room for no moral center. This is just me, but I've had it with siding with such people simply because we may agree on one or two issues. You know who suffers from sin? The sinner and God. This notion that nobody gets hurt is just an excuse for not taking a stand.

I was part of the management team for a woke-leaning company and we were doing a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). A woman who described herself as a feminist and devout atheist stood up and said that fundamental Christianity posed the biggest single threat to our organization. And we were in the pizza business. 🤔 They may not be legion but they are out there and they are just as pushy in the working world as they are in the campus environment. CEO's are afraid to challenge them just like college administrators are afraid to restore sanity to their campuses. The Humanities have been totally hijacked and the hard left is in charge now. It was heading that way when I was an undergrad 30 years ago but the election of Obama and his Yes We Can BS along with his call to fundamentally change the country energized these budding Maoists and signaled to one and all that the cultural revolution had begun. Personally, I'm not sure there is anyway back. It may come to a divorce because the moderate left-leaning people who still consider themselves to be democrats are bullied by the commies they have played footsie with for years and the commies smell fear and see blood in the water. They are pouncing because like their master they know their window of opportunity is small. All this talk about great resets and the like has emboldened them and sent them into overdrive. Make no mistake this is their religion, their cult, and they are zealots. Many would die for their cause. And don't count on the republican party winning in the midterms to change anything. The Rubicon is in the rearview mirror and we will soon be faced with a hard choice, stay and go over the cliff with these lunatics or separate and let the chips fall where they may. The Boomers have spent this nation into second-class status. The Russians have exposed it with their venture into Ukraine and the Chinese are watching. These blue-haired crazies consider themselves to be the vanguard for a glorious revolution that will finally see the end of the wicked capitalist system they have been taught to despise but they are short on answers when it comes to what will replace it. Satan is having a blast with all of this and his primary agents like Putin and Jinping are waiting in the wings to bring the whole thing crashing down, a promise he made to himself when God created us and put him a position of servitude, a role which he rejected with all his being. Call me nuts if you want. I don't care. But this thing is coming undone quickly and soon people are going to have to choose. Hardship and sacrifice in the name of liberty, or a nice soft tyranny where the powers that be replace God and grant rights to you on their terms. A time for choosing as President Reagan said. There was a time when I would have been more in line with your way of thinking but since I have returned to the Church my thinking has changed. Sin makes victims of us all. Online porn and prostitution reduce what should be an act of love and devotion between husband and wife into a transaction for money, pleasure, or both. That's my view on it anyway. And that is why I walked away from most of my libertarian leanings. I learned there is no such thing a victimless crime.

I remember a time when nickel bags and lids were all the rage and most of the people we got them from were penny-anti dealers who sold tiny amounts for the sole purpose of getting a free bag of weed out of the quarter pound they bought. It was the late 60s, early 70s and see didn't see anything wrong with it and it was so ubiquitous in my neighborhood having friends who didn't at least dabble in it was an oddity. It's not like we were shooting heroin. We thought it was harmless, fun and games. Then I started losing friends to the culture. They went on to heavier drugs and died, either from overdoses or living on the street. I know good and damn well most of them wouldn't have taken that next step if they hadn't taken the first when they smoked that first joint. I don't give a damn how many people say the idea that marijuana is a gateway drug is a myth. I've seen it. I've lived it. I've seen what addiction does to families up close and personal. Like anyone, there are a lot of things I would have to say to my younger self if I could step into the wayback machine. One of the first would be to stay the hell away from anything that alters your perception, including, and probably especially alcohol. Above all, I'd tell my younger self to steer clear of marijuana. Some commenters are slamming Matt because he's making judgements on something he has never tried. Well I have. I swam in the deepest end of that pool and I gained nothing from it but heartache and misery. It made life worse for me and people who loved me for what; a "buzz"? It's not only a waste of time, too often it's a waste of life. Recreational users of anything can't get their heads around the effect all of it has on people with addictive personalities. Pushing for the legalization of drugs because you can handle it without considering the effect it will have on those who can't is just as selfish as the lawmakers who see a chance to get rich through kickbacks and tax revenue. Judas got 30 pieces of silver, how much is a soul worth to you?

  17. From what I've read and heard the murdoch kids have been trying to pull Fox to the left for a while. Tucker's not the only one who's out. Dan Bongino is gone as well. He says it was a contract dispute and not at all related to anything else going on over there and I believe him because Dan is a straight shooter. I imagine the network, in a very passive-aggressive way, simply made him an offer they knew he would reject. Hacks like hanity will stick around because they'll do what they're told. Tucker was too powerful for their liking. I don't agree with everything he says or all the positions he takes but he is fresh and not afraid to take a stand. Look for him to team up with Tulsi Gabbard. We are becoming more matriarchal across the board and it is the fruit of the attack on the nuclear family that has been going on since the 1960s. That said, I wonder what you are doing about it Matt? I used to travel to the U.K. a few times a year and two things always stood out, how much they disliked Americans and how much they disliked American religious values. I spent time in Canada and in good dominion form they have the same hang ups, and the same filth on their TV screens. They showed hard core porn on premium cable channels, their versions of Cinemax and HBO on the weekends. That was 20 years ago. By now it might be available on CBC after midnight.   22. I remember coming across some news report a few years ago during the height of the occupy BS and some mob suddenly appeared in one of these downtown areas on the left coast. They were setting up tents, grabbing bullhorns, throwing rocks etc. Anyway, this news team found one of the pink haired leaders, some 21 year old kid and asked him what their beef was. He said he wasn't sure but they were setting up a committee to decide what they were pissed off about and he expected the collective to come up with a list of grievances by the next morning at the latest.   25. I keep asking this but it needs to be asked; where are the fathers in all of this? I know it's easy to say, "well, I would do something," from the safety of a keyboard but I'm sorry, I know I would. I had to take on a principal many years ago in defense of my daughter and other girls because of a crazy social experiment she was running, letting a 14 year old boy with a history of bad behavior terrorize 5th grade students half his size. He especially liked intimidating the girls. He was in the 5th grade class because they kept having to pull him out of schools due to his disruptive behavior. That was her first and only year as a principal. At the end of the year she was fired and she filed a lawsuit claiming discrimination against her and the out of control student she tried to rehabilitate. The point I'm making is, when your kid turns to you for help or you see something that is an obvious threat to her you have a responsibility to protect her. No way I would ever let my kid near that freak. You can't tell me that is the only school with a swim team. Men have been emasculated. This notion of toxic masculinity is another tool for Satan to use to weaken the society. Say what you will, but come up with a better explanation for this cultural insanity.

My family immigrated here in 1965 and except for the sacrifice Christ made on my behalf and His willingness to forgive my wickedness I am more grateful to this nation for taking us in and for my parents decision to move here than anything in my life. I couldn't wait to become a citizen and I served more than 20 years defending this great republic. I don't say this to toot my own horn, but to show my support for Matt and his reasons for calling this woman out. There is nothing worse than an ingrate and anyone who doesn't think this country is a pretty special place should travel around a bit and see first-hand what the rest of the world is like. It was an eye opener for me and made me appreciate what I have here more than I can adequately express. God Bless the USA.

These are the same people who argue for the legalization of drugs, up to and including heroin because they see it as a victimless crime. Victimless crime is an oxymoron. Most people who argue for the legalization of these types of crimes would be the first in line to take advantage of these girls once it is decriminalized. In other words, like it always is, it's all about them.

I was even fired on a few occasions, and I have been so broke I couldn't afford a stamp to write anyone who really gave a sh*t so I have a natural empathy for anyone who loses their job. I'm not one of those people who normally takes joy at and laughs at people who find themselves unemployed. But Matt said what I thought watching that video. Disneyland? Really? You know what though, her reaction is typical of young people, especially these days so I'll cut her some slack. I imagine when she gets a job waiting tables or working the drive thru her day in a life videos will disappear. If she had kids who were depending on her for their survival I imagine the vanity videos would come to an end as well. But who knows.

Canada is my birth-country but I have come to despise it.   40. Years ago I watched one of those "Toughest Jails in the World" shows. El Salvador was represented. They showed a prison in that country where there were no guards. MS 13 ran the place and the government was more than happy to let them. Then there was this Russian jail where something like 30 guys were housed in one cell. There was one bunk, one old sink, one old toilet. Of course, there was only one guy who got the bunk and just a couple who got to use the sink and the toilet. The rest of the guys had a couple buckets to take care of their needs. I remember when they shut down an Air Force base not far from where I was stationed and they wanted to convert the place into a minimum security prison. The ACLU swooped in and slapped an injunction on the deal, claiming the barracks rooms that just a month earlier had housed our enlisted airmen were substandard and not up to snuff to meet the prisoner's required standard of living. and you guessed it, the left-wing judge they hand picked agreed. “‘Fallen!   48. What conservative movement? What does that even mean anymore? What are we trying to conserve? Who's heading it up? This guy's only the latest. How many appearances has Bruce Jenner made on Fox wearing his falsies? Remember Fox? The news outlet that did the fluff piece on the loving family in Kalifornia who was having their kid customized at the local chop shop out there. Maybe the freedom caucus is heading the movement up. You remember those guys, or maybe you don't, maybe because there's not much there to remember. I've never been much for labels and until I went to college I didn't even know I was a conservative. That was many moons ago and President Reagan isn't telling Mr. Gorbachev to tear anything down. Sorry, but 90% of the movers and shakers within the conservative movement, whatever it is, are more interested in selling books and getting clicks. I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer here but let's stop kidding ourselves. What was left of the movement died with the betrayal of the Tea Party. If that didn't open your eyes, well then by all means, keep buying those books and owning the libs.

  49. Discrimination is the best way to fight discrimination. Constitutional amendments based on race. An entire bureaucracy devoted to making sure people only practice the right sort of bigotry. How Nuremberg. Himmler would be proud. No wonder jesse was so upset when obama took over. He knew he would open the door for every amateur race pimp to f-up a good thing. Nobody will do anything about any of the money this guy or Buy Large Mansions stole from rich white people who just wanted to avoid being called names. To be 100% honest, I don't care. I don't care if they take every dime those woke corporations have at their disposal. The world would be a better place if most of them went the way of the dodo anyway.

  50. Many years ago I was a psych major. Much better now. Anyway, one of the professors held up a copy of DSM IV, which is where that book was at at the time, and then held up a copy of DSM I next to it. DSM IV was like twice as thick. As he told us, new mental diagnoses was all the rage because a lot people make a lot of money off it. He said if you couldn't find yourself in that book at least twice you were dead. Now, he was at the end of his career and he caught a lot of what he was exposed to over the course of 40 some odd years but he had a point. Hey ladies, wanna know about feeling unsafe, imagine working in a rat infested sh*thole but at least you had a job which was better than a lot of other people. It wasn't about anyone's identity, it was about being able to eat.
