I have been saying for a while that people on the political right have been star-hungry since obama and globing on to people like Joe Rogan and Dave Portnoy simply because they hold one view that lines up with their own. You've got Fox News flattering Bill Maher for calling out woke culture even though he hates the conservative movement a whole lot more than he does censorship. Maher is not a moderate, will never be a moderate, and cozying up to him isn't going to change that, ever. I say the political right is star hungry because I don't think those left in the conservative movement, as few of us as there are, ever bought into Kanye's conversion. Wearing a MAGA hat and calling yourself a Christian doesn't change who you are. Sorry, but flattering Trump should not give someone a lifetime pass. You are right about the left loving this. You know good and damned well they are busy making commercials for 2024 showing Trump with Kanye and Kanye with Alex Jones spewing out this lunacy. But Trump, who should know better, can't help himself. He won't distance himself from the guy and that's fine so long as he's not running for president. But since he is, he should act like it. I remember a time when nickel bags and lids were all the rage and most of the people we got them from were penny-anti dealers who sold tiny amounts for the sole purpose of getting a free bag of weed out of the quarter pound they bought. It was the late 60s, early 70s and see didn't see anything wrong with it and it was so ubiquitous in my neighborhood having friends who didn't at least dabble in it was an oddity. It's not like we were shooting heroin. We thought it was harmless, fun and games. Then I started losing friends to the culture. They went on to heavier drugs and died, either from overdoses or living on the street. I know good and damn well most of them wouldn't have taken that next step if they hadn't taken the first when they smoked that first joint. I don't give a damn how many people say the idea that marijuana is a gateway drug is a myth. I've seen it. I've lived it. I've seen what addiction does to families up close and personal. Like anyone, there are a lot of things I would have to say to my younger self if I could step into the wayback machine. One of the first would be to stay the hell away from anything that alters your perception, including, and probably especially alcohol. Above all, I'd tell my younger self to steer clear of marijuana. Some commenters are slamming Matt because he's making judgements on something he has never tried. Well I have. I swam in the deepest end of that pool and I gained nothing from it but heartache and misery. It made life worse for me and people who loved me for what; a "buzz"? It's not only a waste of time, too often it's a waste of life. Recreational users of anything can't get their heads around the effect all of it has on people with addictive personalities. Pushing for the legalization of drugs because you can handle it without considering the effect it will have on those who can't is just as selfish as the lawmakers who see a chance to get rich through kickbacks and tax revenue. Judas got 30 pieces of silver, how much is a soul worth to you?

  7. From what I've read and heard the murdoch kids have been trying to pull Fox to the left for a while. Tucker's not the only one who's out. Dan Bongino is gone as well. He says it was a contract dispute and not at all related to anything else going on over there and I believe him because Dan is a straight shooter. I imagine the network, in a very passive-aggressive way, simply made him an offer they knew he would reject. Hacks like hanity will stick around because they'll do what they're told. Tucker was too powerful for their liking. They'll probably try bush's old press secretary in that time slot but I think they're going to find out pretty quick she is too shallow and vacant to get anywhere near the ratings Tucker got. I don't know the terms of his contract but as soon as he's able he'll start his own thing and become the biggest voice in satellite radio and the digital arena, dwarfing any other independent commentators out there. The Daily Wire can't afford him (thank God) and I don't think The Blaze will be able to pony up the cash to sign him either. You think he spoke his mind before? Wait until he's totally off the leash. I don't agree with everything he says or all the positions he takes but he is fresh and not afraid to take a stand. Look for him to team up with Tulsi Gabbard. They have an affinity for one another anyway and the audience those two can draw from is well in the millions. The bartender was cheering on his dismissal because, well she's a stupid child. We are becoming more matriarchal across the board and it is the fruit of the attack on the nuclear family that has been going on since the 1960s. That said, I wonder what you are doing about it Matt? I ask because I saw your interview on Matt Fradd's show a while back and when he asked you, a supposed practicing Catholic, to describe your personal beliefs WRT to your faith and how you put those beliefs into practice you stumbled around like a typical "I go to Mass every Christmas and Easter" kind of Christian, giving a bunch of vague talk about love and acceptance. I used to travel to the U.K. a few times a year and two things always stood out, how much they disliked Americans and how much they disliked American religious values. I spent time in Canada and in good dominion form they have the same hang ups, and the same filth on their TV screens. They showed hard core porn on premium cable channels, their versions of Cinemax and HBO on the weekends. That was 20 years ago. By now it might be available on CBC after midnight.   10. I keep asking this but it needs to be asked; where are the fathers in all of this? I know it's easy to say, "well, I would do something," from the safety of a keyboard but I'm sorry, I know I would. I had to take on a principal many years ago in defense of my daughter and other girls because of a crazy social experiment she was running, letting a 14 year old boy with a history of bad behavior terrorize 5th grade students half his size. He especially liked intimidating the girls. He was in the 5th grade class because they kept having to pull him out of schools due to his disruptive behavior. That was her first and only year as a principal. At the end of the year she was fired and she filed a lawsuit claiming discrimination against her and the out of control student she tried to rehabilitate. The point I'm making is, when your kid turns to you for help or you see something that is an obvious threat to her you have a responsibility to protect her. No way I would ever let my kid near that freak. You can't tell me that is the only school with a swim team. Men have been emasculated. This notion of toxic masculinity is another tool for Satan to use to weaken the society. Say what you will, but come up with a better explanation for this cultural insanity.

Canada is my birth-country but I have come to despise it. I have relatives whom I love still living there and unfortunately I will not be able to make it to their funerals because I will never set foot in that country again.   15. Years ago I watched one of those "Toughest Jails in the World" shows. El Salvador was represented. They showed a prison in that country where there were no guards. MS 13 ran the place and the government was more than happy to let them. Then there was this Russian jail where something like 30 guys were housed in one cell. There was one bunk, one old sink, one old toilet. Of course, there was only one guy who got the bunk and just a couple who got to use the sink and the toilet. The rest of the guys had a couple buckets to take care of their needs. I remember when they shut down an Air Force base not far from where I was stationed and they wanted to convert the place into a minimum security prison. I will miss Reese's Cups but I haven't bought any of those for a long time. Chocolate is, for the most part, chocolate and Snickers was my go-to bar when I played a round of golf back in the day and I have always liked M&M's. I'm not normally big on boycotts but when a company makes someone like that one of the faces of their franchise well it's time to move on. When I posted something to the contrary, that I enjoyed Mr. Poitier's acting and as a fellow immigrant found his life story inspiring I was called everything from a cuck to troll and my post was the one taken down because at least five people on the Trump network found it offensive. That's life. Do I feel sorry for those people on a human level? Certainly. Do I feel bad that they got in a rickety vehicle held together metaphorically by safety-wire and bubblegum as we used to say in the aircraft maintenance game? No I don't. If they failed to do a background check on the builder that's on them. If they did a background check on them and got in that thing anyway that's doubly on them. They are dying because their spirit for adventure as you frame it got the better of their judgement. Don't make them out to be Columbus or Neal Armstrong and don't scold me for not admiring poor judgement the way you seem to. Like I say, you have this tendency to get all ass-holier-than-thou and that is why I only watch a handful of your videos anymore. But it does make you a perfect fit for the daily wire.   32. I get it. I served in the military for more than 20 years and I worked with these bureaucrats for an additional few years as an independent contractor. I stopped working for government agencies because I saw how poorly they were run and how these functionaries operated like they were untouchable, especially the people I worked most closely with, the ones at GS-15 and up level. But we had better commercials. I used to get a kick out of the Miller Lite guys. They knew their audience. This woman?   35. I picked up a good saying from Steve Deace. When he feels like bitching about his job he reminds himself that it beats going to down a mine shaft with a flashlight. Not to disparage people who do that for a living but he has a point. I remember watching this show years ago where these guys went on a quest to find the lousiest job in the world. The winner was working in a sulfur pit. They spoke with this guy some place in the Far East who worked in one and he looked to be in his 70s. He was 35. They said the life expectancy for people working there was somewhere around 42. No matter how bad you have it there is always someone who has it a bit worse. I wonder what kind of complaints the slave laborers in the Soviet gulags would have posted on Twitter if it was around in the 30s. Based on the level of toughness and patriotic fervor of the American urbanite who isn't a criminal I give the Chinese about four days to capture and subdue the main cities. The criminal element won't be a problem since the Chinese will put them in charge of security at the street level. It'll get a bit trickier for them when they get to flyover country and have to deal with those deplorables clinging to their Bibles and their guns. Why do I get the feeling this ongoing child abuse issue, be it the sanctioning of surgical mutilation of kids or the normalization and promotion of pedophilia, will become for the republican party what Obamacare was for them a decade ago. Then, when someone like Ron DeSantis gets elected and tells them to send that same bill to him all of a sudden the votes won't be there. All of a sudden the big bad filibuster will become an issue. Can't touch those social issues ya know. Not the third-rail of politics. Bad for business don't ya know. My hope is this time it's different. I believe this nonsense has touched a genuine nerve within the population and maybe just maybe, the rights of children will become for the modern day republican party what slavery became for the Whigs in the 1850s, the hill they die on because they lack the moral fortitude to do what is right. If that does happen and a new party comes about as a result, this time there should be no realignment, no taking in leftovers from that dead carcass of a party simply to boost numbers. That was the fatal flaw with the republicans in 1856. They absorbed a bunch of wishy-washy Whigs for the numbers and that gene never went away. It's still alive and well. Lincoln had trouble with the simps. So did Reagan. So did Trump. Enough. If some new coalition does come about, and I believe this issue may force it, the wimps and the simps need to go back to their country clubs and enjoy martini's with Muffy, Tad and Biff.   37. I don't go through too many drive-thru''s but I will say I have never been asked for a tip when I have. Then again I pay cash for those types of transactions so I'm not forced to say no to any touch screen. I do round up and give the crew at the Firehouse Subs I go to a small tip because they are polite and greet me by name and I like that. I also tip my barber because I'm a firm believer in the precept that once you find someone who knows how to cut your hair properly you hang on to that person and treat them well. I am very generous with wait staff because I worked a lot of restaraunt jobs as a kid and have soft spot for them. Unless the service is crap. Then I am a notoriously bad tipper because again, I know how much work it takes to do the job, meaning I know when they are slacking. I used to get irritated at the military commissary's because they would have retired service members doing the bagging next to a big sign saying, retired person working for tips only. Sorry, you should have done a better job saving your money or preparing for a more profitable post-military career. I'm not going to tip someone for bagging my groceries just out of principle. And I refuse to use those damn self-checkout machines. There is a Wal Mart grocer near me I used to take my elderly neighbors to and one day we went there and discovered the whole place was self-checkout. They always had a crap selection anyway but that just gave me one more reason to never shop there. But that's me. Thanks for the rant Matt. I'm with you for the most part on this one. I saw an interview yesterday with Ralph Martin on Matt Fradd's channel and he mentioned that a province in Australia has made it a crime to provide what they call conversion therapy for anyone who is gay, even if that person goes to a psychiatrist's office and wants help overcoming their same-sex attraction. The counsellor can receive up to 10 years in prison for trying to help that patient out. He or she is gay and that is the end of the discussion, period. Don't expect them to stop there. It's only a matter of time before governments in these western countries like Australia, Canada, and the UK that don't have religious protection built into their constitution will start coming after clergy who refuse to go along with the gender madness and gay agenda. And I can see states like Kalifornia, Oregon, and Washington passing similar laws to that one in Australia and locking up people like Dr. Grossman for holding views that run counter to their demonic agenda of the state. If these people posing as doctors are successfully sued protection for them will be built into the law as well. This is why I say, don't look to the courts for protection against this assault on all that is holy, good, and beautiful. Only God can help us now. He's willing, but what about us? We have to repent and humble ourselves before Him. If this country doesn't get their act together soon that national divorce politicians casually talk about will become a reality and here's a newsflash, divorces tend to be messy affairs. We better pray it doesn't come to that because if it does, as Bob Dylan put it, a hard rain's a gonna fall.

I grew up in the city and I can tell you nobody with a lick of sense would wander around that neighborhood at 4 AM or ride an elevator with a guy full of neck tattoos. You kept your head on a swivel in my neighborhood or you were asking for trouble. We didn't call it stereotyping we called it common sense. A young lady I worked with, nice kid but a hard-core lefty, was moving to DC for her new job. She told me the area she was moving into and having spent some time near DC i knew it was a rough section. She said it was all she could afford. I told her to at least make sure she kept her gun close by and she told me she got rid of it because of its natural connection to violence and power. Besides, she said arming herself in predominantly black neighborhood would be a racist thing to do. She bought the gun a few years earlier for protection, when she lived in a much safer area but then the lefty's got their hooks in her and once that happened she was gone. They're like Jehovah's Witnesses. Once the cult has them, all reason goes out the window.

A lot of people admire Jesus, but how many really pick up their cross and follow Him? Myself included? I struggle with that one. I do my best but I sometimes feel I'm falling short on that front. As for the notion that people choose Hell over Heaven, that concept struck me as a bit strange until I stopped over thinking it. How many people choose Hell here on Earth over a good and decent life? Why would they change simply because they have passed away? I think it's more about will. As C.S. Lewis put it: "In the end there are two types of people, those who say to God your will be done and those to whom God says, your will be done." Following their own will is the true test that someone is truly self-centered, truly the Alpha and Omega of their Universe. As for love being enough, I think there is a bit more to it than what Matt described. Loving someone is easy, especially if they love you. Christ said, even the tax collectors love those who love them. It's loving people who don't and forgiving others, that is the trick and we all struggle with that. Just look around. God Bless. 🙏

Think a group of Christians reciting Bible verses would have gotten away with a demonstration in front of some gay activists house? I do know this, most people in Hollywood have 1/10th of the brain power they think they have and as a rule, most of them come off as insufferable bores. Back to this Wilde woman. In her bio she claims to love motherhood above all else. How does that square with being an angry feminist?
