Anthropology is a "social" science, a way of dressing up disciplines that don't use the scientific method consistently but rather provide "context" by considering other factors that may or may not have any empirical relationship to the subject. In other words, some of it is valid, and some of it is BS. As for this guy, I wonder what the people who used to mock Christians by falling back on carbon dating and cosmology think about this guys assertion? Oh yeah, he's on the left so anything he says, no matter how ridiculous, is okay, provided his conclusions line up with what the cult supports at the moment.
