I've never heard of this woman but that's not surprising for me. Most of the artists I grew up listening to had pretty much run out of creative steam by the late 70s. Beyond that, I liked Tom Petty and maybe the work of a few others but even then I wasn't over the top in my fandom for any of that stuff. If that makes the musical equivalent of a luddite so be it. I was a working musician for a time, meaning I hustled around a bit playing local bars and the like and a lot of the artsy types I met along the way, even at that low level, were insufferable bores who had a high regard for themselves and little for anyone who didn't parrot their views. The intolerance of the left-wing artist crowd isn't new. Oh well. Something tells me in 100 years people won't be commenting on the great work of Pink. I mean, are they even doing that now?
