  1. Xi is all about redressing historical slights and placing China back in what he sees as its rightful place as leader among the nations. Don't believe a thing he says WRT anything that will negatively affect his master plan. China isn't quite there yet but they are making up ground quickly and with the U.S. being such a basket case under its current leadership watch for him to force some sort of Hong Kong like accommodation on Taiwan within the next two years. Tread carefully over there and don't count on us for much, at least not in the short run.
