  1. As the old-fart in the room I hope Sound of Freedom makes independent films that tell great stories the new thing. But then you need to have great writers to have great stories I suppose. Sorry, movies based on video games, comic books, and dolls from the 1960s don't do much for me. There is still plenty of great history out there to mine but doing it correctly would require pretentious directors more interested in making movies full of whiz-bangs and statements to adapt and get out of their own way. I'm not sure this generation of filmmaker has it in em.
