Normally I enjoy oddball time travel movies (12 Monkeys and The History of Time Travel being two examples). But now that I know it is a Christopher Nolan movie I'll take a hard pass. I'm not into comic books so I didn't see his Batman flick. But after hearing about how brilliant and innovative the guy was I was pumped about seeing Dunkirk when it was released. I was expecting something pretty good but what I got was probably the worst war movie I have ever seen. I say probably simply because the bozo's that tried to turn Pearl Harbor and Passchendaele into chick flicks are awfully hard to beat when it comes to straight up douchebaggery. I even watched Dunkirk a second time when it landed on HBO just to make sure I hadn't got it wrong the first time I saw it. Turns out I hadn't. It was still an awful fucking movie. So that's that. I can see where the Drinker says this guy's pretentious approach to movie making is a load of shit. Next.
