Maybe they tried to play it a bit down the middle because it was The Daily Wire and even though it's easy to sing to to the choir on social and political issues things change when you put money into a project you want to reach beyond your echo chamber. If I was dealing with this subject matter I would have tackled it from the human side as opposed to taking the Die Hard route. Maybe a movie dealing with the aftermath and real dialogue about real emotions people experience after such a tragedy. I'm very pro Second Amendment but who's to say where I would land or how I would feel if my child was killed in such a manner? There are other ways to create tension and other journey's you can take your protagonist on. But that's just me. I doubt I'll watch this one. The plot has been overcooked already. Ben and company are new to the movie business so let's see where they go next, if there is a next.
